Moroccan Invoice Generator — ICE, IF, RC & VAT
This generator is built for businesses, freelancers and auto-entrepreneurs based in Morocco. On top of a standard invoice it adds the identifiers Moroccan business clients usually ask for — ICE, tax ID (IF), trade register number (RC) and patente — calculates the total excluding VAT, the VAT and the total including VAT, and writes the amount in words in French (the usual “Arrêtée la présente facture à la somme de…” line). Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Enter your company name, address and identifiers (ICE, IF, RC, patente); they can be remembered on this device.
- Add the client: name, address and, for a business client, their ICE.
- Add each line with quantity and unit price excluding VAT.
- Pick the VAT rate (20% by default, 0% if you are exempt or a non-VAT auto-entrepreneur).
- Click Preview, check the amount in words, then Print / PDF.
What should a Moroccan invoice contain?
Following common practice and the General Tax Code, an invoice addressed to a business usually carries:
- a unique, sequential invoice number and the issue date;
- the seller’s full identity: company name, address, ICE, tax ID (IF), trade register (RC) and patente number;
- the client’s name or company name, address and ICE when it is a business;
- a precise description of goods or services, quantities and unit prices excluding VAT;
- the total excluding VAT, the VAT rate and amount, then the total including VAT;
- payment terms (due date, method, bank details) and, by custom, the total written in words.
Exact requirements depend on your status (company, sole proprietor, auto-entrepreneur) and change with each finance law. Common Moroccan VAT rates are 20%, 14%, 10% and 7% depending on the product; confirm the rate that applies to you with your accountant or the tax authority (DGI). This tool is not tax advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is the ICE mandatory on an invoice?
For companies, the ICE (Common Business Identifier, 15 digits) normally appears on invoices, including the business client’s ICE. Check your exact situation with your accountant.
What if I am an auto-entrepreneur?
State your identity, your auto-entrepreneur number and your ICE if you have one, and choose 0% VAT if you are not subject to it. Confirm the required mentions with the administration.
Is the amount in words calculated automatically?
Yes. For dirham, euro and dollar the total including VAT is converted into French words, cents included. Always check the result before sending.
Are my tax identifiers sent anywhere?
No. They stay in your browser’s local storage only if you tick “Remember”, and you can erase them in one click.
